Jameel Ahmad completes successful media tour in South Africa

Between 22 and 25 October 2018, FXTM’s esteemed Global Head of Currency Strategy & Market Research, Jameel Ahmad, conducted an eventful media tour in South Africa. Over the course of four days, Mr Ahmad shared his market insights with a host of leading media outlets including CNBC Africa, Classic Business FM and Bloomberg News.

The fascinating interviews focused on pressing economic issues, including South Africa’s mid-term budget and trade tensions between the US and China. Further insights were given into topics such as:

• Whether emerging markets can survive economic turmoil
• Why some emerging markets have been more sensitive to currency weakness than others
• How interconnected emerging market currencies are
• The outlook for emerging markets for the rest of the year – can we see a recovery?

FXTMPartners were delighted to host two trading seminars in Penang, Malaysia from the 10-11 November.

It was a great turnout, with over 100 attendees! The event began with an in-depth presentation on FXTM itself, before moving on to the BBMA (Bollinger Bands + Moving Average) strategy. FX expert Kang Loon delivered an insightful introduction into how this strategy actually works, and how investors can potentially apply it to their own trading.

An interactive Q and A session followed shortly afterwards, where everyone was able to ask their most pressing industry questions and consolidate their new-found knowledge. Participants were also able to learn about FXTM’s wide range of deposit and withdrawal methods, as well FXTM Invest – our cutting-edge copy-trading programme.

It was great to see so much enthusiasm and interest from the attendees. FXTM’s Chief Market Strategist (Gulf & MENA) Hussein Sayed was delighted to reprise his role as Chairman and panel moderator at the 7^th Global Family Office Investment Summit. Returning to Dubai for the fourth time, the summit took place from the 10^th to the 12^th of November 2018.

By invitation only, this prestigious event gathers global influencers and finance decision makers from across the world for two days of collaborative debate surrounding strategies for wealth management and identifying investment opportunities in a low-rate, high-volatility market.

Hussein moderated two fascinating keynote panel sessions. The first, on the 11^th of November, was titled ‘Elite Investor Insights for 2019 & Beyond’ and highlighted the current mega trend, geopolitical risks and economic challenges that are likely to dominate the next few years. The next day, the subject was ‘Thinking Outside the Box in Dynamic Low Yield Environment’; the panel speakers delivered fresh insights into digital assets, renewable energy and precious metals.

Other interesting topics under discussion at the summit included:

• What options families have for insurance against market volatility
• Philanthropy, impact and socially responsible investment opportunities
• The DNA of success
• Fintech, digital assets and initial coin offerings (ICOs)

FXTM was delighted to bring our incredibly successful E-Trading Investment Summit back to an excited audience in Abuja, Nigeria for two informative seminars and an advanced three-day workshop.

Our FX expert David Alagbada shared his valuable insights into the world of forex and knowledge of trading strategies with our eager attendees.

The Summit began on the 9^th November with a one-day seminar at the Stone Hedge Hotel. Topics covered included:

The turnout and the atmosphere were outstanding. The second seminar the next day was equally as successful, with attendees enjoying the chance to participate and ask their most pressing industry questions. Both days also ended with lucky raffle winners receiving brand-new Android phones!

Next up was our three-day workshop, which was held at the FXTM Abuja Representative Office from the 13^th to 15^th October. This was an opportunity to focus more deeply on forex fundamentals, such as:

• Stop Loss and Take Profit strategies
• An Introduction to Technical Analysis
• Japanese Candlesticks
• Risk-management principles, and much more
